THE SCHOOLS & ACADEMIES SHOW LONDON HIGHLIGHTS!
The show hosted over 30 hours of CPD-accredited content across the day, including panel sessions, case studies, keynote presentations, tailored workshops and more dispersed across the content theatres. Each session offered those in attendance a wealth of opportunities to hear key policy updates, learn best practice, gain advice and leave with practical takeaways to implement within their school, academy or MAT.
We pulled out all the stops to make the show our biggest and best yet, welcoming over 150 industry-leading speakers to the ExCeL for a content-packed day! The show opened with a keynote session from Baroness Barran MBE, closely followed by an update from the National Director for Education at Ofsted, Christopher Russell and an inspirational session from Olympic Gold Medalist, Sir Mo Farah, who highlighted the importance of teachers and school staff in his education journey to achieving gold. Alongside this, we had representatives from the DfE, NGA, NAHT, ASCL, EPI, ISBL, nasen, Institute for Government and more! You can tune into some of the sessions on-demand here.
Attendees were able to chat to a host of leading education suppliers across the exhibition floor! With dedicated zones, including estates, business, recruitment, EdTech and SEND, the show once again provided a unique opportunity for school leaders to test the latest cutting-edge products and services and source solutions to their most pressing challenges.
There is something for everyone at the Schools & Academies Show, and all visitors had free access to 7 themed theatres, each dedicated to specific functions across the sector. This included the Business & Finance Theatre, School Improvement Summit, SEND Theatre, Safeguarding & Wellbeing Theatre and the newly-introduced Teaching & Learning and Sustainability & Estates Theatres - providing inspiring content, updates and practical resources for individuals to implement within their organisation to ensure efficiency is at the forefront of each operation.
As always, the show provided a fantastic opportunity to connect, network and discover new organisations, via pioneering networking features across the show floor. Attendees could enjoy gaining practical advice from multiple teams from the DfE at the Government Education Village. The ConnectEd Lounge was once again packed throughout the day, with visitors collaborating via pre-scheduled 1-2-1 meetings. After such an eventful show and a content-packed day of learning, the day ended with a networking hour, where visitors can share their experiences and summarise the day's information.
