As we get ready to host our second virtual edition of the Schools & Academies Show, we wanted to give you some insight into our virtual experience. Powered by Swapcard, our virtual event will provide you with a platform to hear high level updates, view and engage with education suppliers, network with fellow peers, take part in online roundtables and more.
Take a look at what a virtual Schools & Academies Show looks like...
You’ll gain access to event app and networking platform a week before the event. Customise your agenda, browse suppliers and solutions, connect with your fellow attendees and book meetings in advance.
Set up your profile in the app, and let the AI Matchmaking algorithm recommend the best people for you to connect with, based on your professional background, interests and aims. The more complete your profile, the more effective the tool will be.
Sessions will run live as listed on the agenda. Attend live-streamed keynotes, expert panel discussions and practical roundtables through the app. Engage in live Q&As, polling, and public or private discussions with fellow attendees.
During the event, you can use the networking part of the platform to arrange and hold meetings with the people who matter to you, at a time that works best for both you. You can hold these meetings as one-to-one chats or invite others for a group discussion.
After the event, you can catch up on the sessions you missed, re-watch those you attended and access all supporting documents for 2 weeks after the event. If there’s anyone you weren’t able to talk to on the day, you can still use the app to connect with them after the event.
SCHOOLS & ACADEMIES SHOW COMMUNITY EXCHANGE
We have selected a handful of key topics from the show and will be hosting dedicated networking rooms around each of these topics.
The aim of each room is to encourage networking and engagement with attendees, share concerns, ideas and best-practice and connect with each other on the platform.
Attendees of each of these themed sessions will have a 5-minute introduction from a leading education speaker and then be split into smaller groups which are rotated every 5-minutes to encourage interaction.
This is designed as a virtual drop-in centre where you can put your questions to experts from across the Department for Education (DfE) and the Education & Skills Funding Agency (ESFA).
The DfE and ESFA will be hosting a variety of roundtables and workshops throughout the show as well as having members of their team available to answer questions from visitors. This is a great chance for education leaders and practitioners to gain practical advice and policy updates.
Take part in interactive roundtables covering specific topics relating to the current state of UK education. This is a great opportunity to (virtually) meet with likeminded peers.
These themed networking sessions are based on the key areas of interest highlighted during our registration process with the aim of the sessions to provide visitors with a dedicated area to meet, network and discuss the most pertinent topics within the sector.
The virtual exhibition will showcase the UK’s leading education suppliers, from IRIS Education and Zurich through to ISBL, MHR and Cornerstones. You can visit each individual booth, live chat with exhibitor teams, attend 1-2-1 meetings, download documents and see product demonstrations.
The show would not be possible without the continued support of our exhibitors and you can access all of them from the comfort of your own home. The products and solutions on offer are dedicated to improving pupil outcomes and driving efficiencies in your school, academy or MAT.
You can also source products and solutions from education suppliers all in one place by our online product & solutions library.
Throughout the show, leading education suppliers taking part in the show will be hosting dedicated meeting rooms where they are available to take part in live Q&A sessions and do product demonstrations.
During this supplier sessions we encourage all visitors to pick one of the variety of supplier rooms available and find out how our network of exhibitors can help you to overcome challenges in your school.
Taking place at a pivotal time in the education calendar, our content rich agenda will provide you with an unrivalled opportunity to hear from a range of high-level speakers and take away practical advice and best-practice from key policy makers, education pioneers and inspirational peers.
As the largest gathering of school leaders in 2021, we will be introducing a new and exciting programme to the show; the Hosted Leader Programme.
The Hosted Leader Programme will cater for senior decision makers and buyers from Schools and MATs by providing them with a unique experience at the show. It is designed for school leaders to get the most out of their experience of our portfolio of events and content in 2021. School leaders can enrol into the programme to benefit from a range of discounts and promotional offers and as a hosted leader we will connect visitors with the corresponding suppliers during the shows.
